Money & Family

RecipeMaster
Meal planning that respects who’s actually at the table.
Why it exists
I wanted a proper family recipe system: somewhere to keep recipes, plan the week’s meals, and generate a shopping list. The tools out there wanted £35 a month and still felt half-finished. None handled the real complexity of family food: different people at the table on different nights, different calorie targets, allergies, and the fact that half our recipes live on Instagram.
What it is
- Recipes from anywhere — Instagram, TikTok, websites, or typed in. The AI extracts the recipe and works out the macros.
- Per-person planning — every family member has a profile: likes, dislikes, allergies, daily calorie target. Plan the week by who’s eating each night; the AI keeps every meal within each person’s targets and never suggests something someone at the table can’t eat.
- Feedback that matters — whoever ate the meal scores it. Well-rated meals return; disasters don’t. Repeats are spaced on whatever schedule you set.
- Pantry-aware shopping lists — it knows what’s in the cupboards, so the list only contains what you actually need.
- Invite-only, subscription-free — built for one family, no upsells, no features nobody asked for.
What it proves
Not everything needs to be a business. Some builds just need to remove £35/month of frustration and make Tuesday dinner easier. Knowing which is which is a product skill too.
