ParSec

SEO analysis without the per-seat ransom — including the part the big tools ignore.

Why it exists

I needed proper SEO analysis for my own sites. The established tools are excellent — and priced like it. A single seat costs serious money every month, which is hard to justify for a handful of personal projects.

But price wasn’t the real gap. Search is changing: more and more discovery happens through AI answers — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google’s AI results — and the traditional tools barely acknowledged it. They’d tell me my title tags were fine while saying nothing about whether an AI engine could actually understand, trust and cite my content. I was optimising DramMaster and the other builds for a version of search that’s shrinking.

So I built the analyser I actually needed.

What it is

I run it across everything I build — this site included. The SEO structure you’re reading was checked by ParSec before launch.

Status

ParSec is a private tool, built for my own use. It’s not publicly available — this page exists because the why is the interesting part: when a market prices you out of a tool and misses where your problem is heading, building your own is now a realistic option.

What it proves

Build-vs-buy has changed. The evaluation I’d run at work on any vendor — cost per seat, coverage of the actual requirement — increasingly returns a third answer: neither, build it. ParSec is what that looks like in practice.
